Women of Watch Voter Registration Campaign Kickoff!
Monday, May 21, 2018 @ 11:00 AM
Women on Watch (WOW) is a 10 year old Stamford grassroots political initiative, promoting awareness, advocacy and action relating to key local, state and national issues. We have taken on the challenge of improving voter registration and turnout in our City.

WOW is joining with the Stamford League of Women Voters, and Indivisible Stamford Plus in this endeavor. On Mon., May 21 at 11 am, at Government Center, Mayor Martin will proclaim June as Voter Registration/Voter Turnout month. This will be followed by a host of Voter Registration activities to take advantage of the publicity surrounding the Proclamation.

Voter turnout has been declining for years. We were appalled that in the November, 2017 mayoral election, only 25% of registered voters bothered to vote. Or, to put in more Strongly, 75% of registered voters did not vote. We plan to do whatever we can do to change this situation.

Please join us on May 21 for the kickoff of our campaign.
